Two areas of concern in which traffic accidents are a particularly high rate of serious injury

Traffic crashes happen. Only a few of us will avoid them completely during our lifetime. Many of us have experienced at least the minor, “fender bender” crash, either on a public street, or parking lot of our favorite shopping center. Unfortunately crashes that involve bodily injuries, or worst case a fatality, will have lifelong impacts on family and friends.

In the City of Lawrenceburg, there are two areas of concern in which we have experienced a particularly high rate of serious injury(s) or fatal crashes. These two areas are: Hwy 43 South, from the bypass to the city limits, and Hwy 43 North near Good hope Road to the city limits. The statistics have not only caught the attention of the Police Dept., but our City Commission, as well. We ARE concerned.

In an effort to curb ALL traffic accidents, your Police Department will increase patrols in those two particular areas. The Police Department will have a greater police presence, and police officers well be VERY strict enforcing ALL traffic laws to accomplish our goal to reduce or eliminate these serious injury/fatal crashes.

Please remember to obey ALL traffic laws and drive safely. Your family and friends are more important than violating any traffic law. Don’t be a statistic.
